SAINTPALMS DIARY - Leather Card Case

Hi everyone, today we would like to introduce our new Leather Card Case.

This is a simple wallet in leather that can contain Business Cards or Credit Cards.
It’s in genuine italian leather, tanned in Santa Croce, in tuscany. This small town is one of the most important district for leather in Italy, especially for the calfskin, used for the production of handbags and shoes.
The leather of our Card Case is called “vacchetta” and is main characteristic are resistance and thickness. It’s a combined tanning, both vegetable and chemical, to make it more resistant to water, scratches and spots.

The Leather Card Case comes in 4 colors, studied almost for everyone.
There is StarryNight that is a bright, deep, intense Blue, Midnight that is a total Black wallet, Latesunset that is a dark brown, almost like a T.moro but with a little touch of red, and Pinksunset that is the most romantic of the four and it’s a bright and happy pink.

The Leather Card Case is embellished by two golden functional snap buttons with our logo embossed. It’s easy to open and close. It’s closed with two small rivets still in golden finishing and with our logo engraved.

There’s a Saintpalms Logo embossed with pressure and heat on the backside, and all the Leather Card Case have edges painted in medium brown color. This special paint is studied to prevent the edges from water and consumption.

The Leather Card Case has a single compartment to easily find your cards. The inside part is intentionally without any treatment, to give you the opportunity of taste the real nature of leather.

TALKING ABOUT DESIGN
That’s the most interesting part for us, here there is the way our idea born and how it becomes reality.
We were thinking to design a little card holder, in leather. We started from the size of the credit card. Our idea is to make it with a minimal size, to be practical and easy to fit in the pockets. We care about environment and for this reason the choices that we take, also in the first part of the projects, influence the final result of an object.

We decided to make it from one piece of leather and trying to exclude the stitchings, that are usually in polyester.
That’s the final shape of our Leather Card Case when it’s flat.
We are happy about the result…what do you think about it?
